WELCOME! Tonight we watched our first film in a French cinema. Who would have thought it would be a James Bond film? Not what we normally watch but Maynard was especially interested in seeing it before he left France as the release date in Australia was embarrassingly late (about a month after the French release)...
Walking through Montmartre.
Another night in Paris, another search for a place to drink, and this is where we had our first for the day. Le Prohibido.
It was well furnished...
And the tables were hand painted with movie scenes and other bits and pieces. Tres cool.
Also a great place when you're looking for a 3€ wine or 7€ cocktail outside of happy hour.
Though come happy hour this place fills up immédiatement... Not the case when we were there, though we have witnessed it at capacity also.
We attempted to sneak in here for a pre-cinema dinner. Alas, no dice. The menu was very restricting, though would be a great place for a drink and maybe a late night dance, considering the bar staff are more caught up in watching their friend dj at the bar.
This place on the other hand was a god send.
La Part des Anges is a little restaurant in Montmartre where the service is friendly, the vibe is organic and almost like being at your grandparents eating a nice home cooked roast. It's great.
We were all happy to be getting a big, delicious meal before 2 and a bit hours of Bond.
The walls were eclectically decorated with hand drawn comics and other such pictures.
The bar where you will find the waiter/ barman/ manager most of the night when he's not delivering your food to the table.
Stairs to the kitchen.
A juicy steak, lamb shank, a slow cooked piece of pork and very tasty fish.

Smashed it!
Eating the amazing mustard straight from the jar...
On our way to the new Bond (which was kind of a big deal seeing as we missed out on tickets every time we went to see it. We pre-booked our tickets this time and were set on making it) with happy tummies.
Even the statues nearby were fist pumping the air when we made it to the cinema with time to get a coffee. We unfortunately didn't have time to get the Kahlua to spike our coffees as pre-planned.
The Pathe Cinema!
Enjoying a pre-Bond vente mocha.
Lights out and Skyfall time.
A success in all of our books. It was an entertaining film. Not my extra large cup of tea or mocha, but enjoyable. And just a word of warning if you are to watch an English film in a French cinema - if you're looking for the original version without French dubbing then choose the 'vo' session and not the 'vf' version. Who wants to hear "James, James Bond" in a French accent?!? Also, coming from cinemas in Perth where the air-conditioning is on maximum and the place is always freezing, this cinema was hot! Lloyd was sweating throughout the movie. Not sure if this is a French thing, but it was a strange feeling.
